Simple Aqua Navigation Buttons

Step one:

Start with a large black canvas, in your layers window make a new layer set. Name it Aqua Navigation Buttons.

Create a new layer then draw a144 x 19 pixels, #8AB0C0 rectangle using your rectangle tool. Use the fixed size setting under rectangle options to make the exact rectangle.
Add the following layer styles:


Step two:

In a new layer draw a 144 x 8 pixels, black rectangle.
In your layers window set the layers blending mode to Soften light.

Step three:

In a new layer draw a 1 pixel, white line above your black rectangle from step two.
In your layers window set the layers blending mode to Lighten and set the opacity level to 9%.

Step four:

Create a new layer. Above your white line from step three, draw a 1 pixel, black line.
In your layers window set the layers opacity level to 35%.

Step five:

Choose your text tool and select font Arial from the font list. Set the font style to regular, size to 11 pt, anti-alias method to none and #white for color. In a new text layer type your first navigation link or text you want to attach to your aqua navigation tab.

Step six:

Add the same rectangle structure from step two above and below your vertical navigation set.
